New Delhi, Dec 4: As voting for the Delhi Municipal Corporation election begins, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has petitioned the Election Commission for harsh action against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), alleging violations of the Model Code of Conduct and election rules.
Additionally, the party claimed that several names had been removed from the voter list. According to BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, if the allegations are proven to be accurate, his party will run for office again.
“On the basis of video evidence of a violation of MCC and election guidelines last night by Durgesh Pathak and Vijendra Garg of AAP, BJP has approached EC for stringent action,” the Delhi BJP said in a tweet.
