Shillong, Jan 21:Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma infrmed on Friday that he has tested positive for COVID-19. He asked people who came in touch with him recently to get themselves tested.
“I have tested positive for COVID-19. I am isolating myself for the required time. I have mild symptoms. All those who came into contact with me last few days are requested to observe their symptoms and test if necessary,” he tweeted.

Earlier in October, two of his cabinet colleagues, Health Minister AL Hek and Urban Affairs Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar were also diagnosed with the virus. Both of them have recovered.
Notably, Meghalaya has registered 12,586 COVID-19 cases and 123 deaths so far.
