Ranchi, Dec.25: Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Mesra is required to be more alert in imparting education to its students as police in the city has detained the students of the schools who helped thieves steal as many as 18 laptops and one desktop computer from the smart class of Navodaya Vidyalaya, Mesra, on December 23 this year.
This came to the fore after police getting information of theft constituted a team to nab eight including two juveniles involved in the theft. Out of two juveniles, one is a student of the school.
S.P(rural) Naushad Alam confirmed the situation by sharing a press release. He, however, did not elaborate on the role of school students saying the matter is related to children in conflict with the law.
Those adults arrested in this connection include Raju Mirdha, Sanjay Minz, Ravi Kumar Prajapati, Anup Kumar Sahu, Bablu Mahto and Anmol Kalindi. All residents of Kalyan Basti except the first one who is a resident of Neori. All are in the age group of 18 to 32. Police recovered as many as 14 laptops and one desk computer from their possession.
The police swung into action after it observed that for the second time within a short span thieves have struck the residential educational institution established to impart quality education to children free of cost.
