Jamshedpur, Dec 30: The minimum temperature across the state witnessed an abrupt fall in the past 24 hours due to the free flow of north-westerly currents. In both Ranchi and Jamshedpur, minimum reading witnessed a fall of four to five degree Celsius.
In both places, the minimum reading nosedived to 10 degrees resulting in shivers among the residents.
In Daltonganj and Bokaro the minimum reading plummeted to around seven degree Celsius. Khunti was the coldest place where the minimum temperature plummeted to 5.3 degree Celsius. Simdega recorded 5.8 degree Celsius. Deoghar and Giridih recorded around 8 degree Celsius.
According to the forecast, fog and mist will continue to prevail in the morning in the next two days.
Weathermen said there will be no significant changes in the minimum temperature and that minimum temperature will witness a slight rise in the next two to three days.
