Mining department seals two illegal stone crushing plants in Pakur

Dhanbad, Aug 25: Pakur mining department on Wednesday sealed two illegal stone crushing plants and filed an FIR against operators in Raddipur police station under Maheshpur block of the district.

Mines Inspector Pintoo Singh told media persons that on basis of a tip-off raid was conducted in Sunder Pahadi industrial area of Maheshpur block and found two illegal stone crushing plants operating. Both the plants were sealed for operating and storing stone without a license.

“ In this regard, the Mining department has filed an FIR against illegal stone crushing plant operators Kiran Sheikh, resident of Khanpur ( West Bengal) and Fahimuddin Mandal, resident of Maheshpur under IPC Section 379 and Rules 17 of Jharkhand Mineral Act 2017,” said the Mining Inspector.

This is the second time in a week the Pakur mining department has cracked down on illegal stone crushing plant operators in the district. Last week the department had lodged named cases against four persons  Dilip Saha, Durga Hansda,  Hassan Sheikh and Prasant Ghosh in Hiranpur police station of the district for operating stone crushing plants without taking a license from the mining department.

The mining department official said action has also been initiated against explosive smugglers who brought it from different districts of West Bengal, Dhanbad, Bokaro, and other districts of Jharkhand and supply to illegal stone crusher plant operators in Pakur.
