Ranchi, April 20:  BJP state president and Rajya Sabha member Deepak Prakash through his Facebook post today sought resignation from chief minister Hemant Soren alleging the latter of being corrupt and self-centered.

“Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant himself, being the Minister of Mines, is doing the business of mineral wealth in his own name with his own signature, then where will the people of the state go,” the first paragraph of Prakash’s post read.

“This is very unfortunate for the state and is a case of outright corruption from which the Chief Minister cannot escape now. The sin that the Chief Minister of Jharkhand has committed is a criminal act under Section 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, so he should resign from his post soon. How will a person run the state if he does not even know that the government is run not by selfishness, but by sacrifice and the constitution,” Facebook further reads

The resignation has been sought 59 days after former chief minister Raghubar Das demanded resignation from chief minister Hemant Soren and his brother Basant Soren for carrying out business in the field of mining despite being government servants.
