Ranchi: Jharkhand minister Dr Irfan Ansari has warned of strict action against individuals attempting to disturb communal harmony in Madhupur, accusing certain BJP members of deliberately trying to create unrest in the town.

Allegations of Attempts to Disrupt Communal Harmony

Dr Ansari alleged that some BJP leaders are intentionally trying to spoil the peaceful atmosphere of Madhupur by exaggerating recent incidents. He said such attempts would not be tolerated under any circumstances, stressing that Madhupur has always been known for brotherhood, mutual respect and communal harmony.

Madhupur’s History of Peace and Coexistence

The minister said Madhupur’s cultural and historical identity is rooted in peace, where people from different communities have lived together for generations. He added that even if differences arise between individuals, they should be resolved through dialogue, and interference by external elements to inflame the situation is unacceptable.

Call for Administrative Action Against Provocateurs

Dr Ansari stated that the people of Madhupur and Lalgardh are peace-loving and will not fall for provocations. He urged the district administration to restrict the entry of outside elements, identify those making inflammatory statements and take strict action against them.

Respect for All Religious Places Emphasised

He made it clear that temples, mosques, gurudwaras and churches must all be respected equally, and any attempt to interfere with religious places will not be tolerated. He concluded by saying that those trying to disturb Madhupur’s harmony must be dealt with firmly by the administration.
