Ranchi, Aug.25: Miscreants decamped with mobile phones worth Rs 38 lakh and cash Rs 1.12 lakh from Rishu Telecom at Sector 2 in HEC Township under Jagannath police station area.

The theft came to the fore this morning when shop owner Sunil Kumar reached his shop and opened the shutter. He found boxes of mobile phones scattered in the shop.

The primary investigation suggested that miscreants entered the shop via rooftop. They reached the rooftop scaling the boundary wall with the help of a rope. On the rooftop, they broke open a door leading to a staircase connected to the shop entrance from inside.

Kumar said the chargers of all the phones are intact. Police started a probe into the matter.
