Ranchi, April 27: In an incident of broad day loot here, two miscreants looted Rs 6 lakh cash from Ranjit Kumar, a staff of builder Hitendra Kumar.
It was getting around 3.30pm today when the incident took place at Distillery Pond under the Lalpur police station as Kumar was on way to his Kokar office on his bike from Lalpur branch of ICICI Bank after cheque encashment.
“Two bike-borne miscreants stopped him and took away his bag containing money. As Ranjit resisted, miscreants started beating him black and blue. When the builder’s staff sustained injuries, miscreants zip zap zoomed with a cash bag,” a police official said.
An FIR was registered in this connection. The police have started an investigation.
