Ranchi, June 7: BJP state president and Rajya Sabha member Deepak Prakash today expressed his concern over the poor knowledge of the JMM and Congress leaders regarding the model code of conduct enforced at the time of by-poll in the city andcapital city, metropolitan city and municipal corporation area.
He said the letter issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI) on January 18, 2018 clearly mentions that during by-poll mode code is enforced only in the concerned assembly constituency area in case it falls in the capital district, metropolitan city and municipal corporation area. But the JMM and Congress party leaders on Monday knocked on the door of election commission demanding registration of a case of model code of conduct (MCC) violation against the BJP for its rally at Morhabadi, he added.
His statement came during a press conference at the BJP state headquarters to inform media persons regarding the success of Dharti Aba Birsa Munda Biswas Rally held on Sunday at Morhabadi ground in the presence of national president of the party, J.P.Nadda.
Prakash said the action of JMM and Congress is a reflection of their frustration caused due to the loss of the maximum number of JMM and congress backed candidates in panchayat polls.
