Mohanlal Receives Indian Cinema’s Highest Honour
Malayalam superstar Mohanlal was conferred the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the highest recognition in Indian cinema, celebrating his decades-long contribution across multiple languages and genres.
Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, and Vikrant Massey Win Acting Honours
President Murmu presented the Best Actress award to Rani Mukerji for her performance in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan was awarded Best Actor for his blockbuster Jawan, while Vikrant Massey also won the Best Actor title for his powerful role in 12th Fail.
Government’s Push for Content Creation
Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of positioning India as a global hub for content creation. He said that recent global showcases like Waves Mumbai have attracted international attention, with over one lakh participants and more than 140 B2B meetings. “Now, the world is coming to India. Our content creators are finding new markets in countries such as Australia and South Korea,” Vaishnaw noted.
