Ranchi, March 25: The Sahibganj police have arrested Pashupati Yadav in an old criminal case on the instruction of Sahibganj district court. Pashupati Yadav is father of stone mining scamster Dahu Yadav and Sunil Yadav who are currently absconding following an arrest warrant issued by the special PMLA court of Prabhat Kumar Sharma.
Notably, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had also summoned Pashupati Yadav for questioning in the Rs 1000 crore illegal stone mining scam. But he evaded that summons.
As per the information, an FIR had been lodged against him in 2018 under section 341, 323 and 504. But after getting the bail he was not appearing before the court for the framing of charges against him. Hence the court cancelled his bail and arrested him. The 80 years old Pashupati Yadav was taken to hospital in judicial custody after he developed some health complications.
Notably, his name had first surfaced in the controversy related to the mysterious death of Jharkhand Police ASI Rupa Tirkey. He is an accused in several criminal cases.
