New Delhi, July 17: The Monsoon Session of the Parliament, which will begin on July 18 and end on August 12, is approaching, and the centre is preparing for that.

The Cantonment Bill and the Multi-State Cooperative Societies Bill are among the 24 bills that the Center is prepared to introduce during the session.

The Development of Enterprises and Services Hubs Bill, which proposes to amend the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, and set rules, the Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration and Protection) (Amendment) Bill, the Warehousing (Development and Regulation) (Amendment) Bill, and the Competition (Amendment) Bill are a few of the other bills that have been listed for introduction.

Eight other Bills are already pending before both Houses in addition to the 24 other Bills.

Additionally, during this Monsoon Session, the President and Vice-President are scheduled to be elected. Voting for the presidential election will take place in Parliament’s polling places on the opening day of the session, with the results being tallied on July 21.

In order to ensure that the Monsoon Session runs well, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organised a party meeting on Sunday morning at the Parliament Annexe building. The meeting is anticipated to include both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
