MP: Four die, seven injured in firecracker warehouse’s explosion

New Delhi, Oct 20:Four persons killed and some other people were feared to be buried under the wreckage, After an explosion at a home where firecrackers were stored in a godown in Banmor Nagar in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh on Thursday.

As the godown was overflowing with fireworks in advance of Diwali, seven additional people suffered injuries.

“Cannot with confidence point out the reason for the blast, wether it was a firecracker or something else. Four have yet died, several of 7 injured are critical. At least one child who was buried under debris has been rescued,” said DM B Karthikeyan.

In order to remove the debris, both persons and machines were used. According to Inspector General of Police Rajesh Chawla, both the police and the administrative officials arrived at the scene.
