Hazaribag, June 6:  Hazaribag MP Jayant Sinha today held a detailed review meeting with officials of the electricity department after a storm uprooted trees damaging the power supply network of the city. In this meeting, discussions were held to improve and modernise the power system on every front. During this, he gave necessary guidelines for strengthening the power supply system in the area. A few days ago, due to the storm that hit Hazaribag, the power supply in the area was disrupted. More than 300 trees were uprooted in this storm. Due to this, the residents of the area had to face a lot of difficulty.

In this meeting with the electricity department, the MP has asked the officials to prepare a disaster management plan so that the public does not face such a critical problem in power supply in future. Along with this, he gave instructions to work in coordination with the forest department. The uprooting of trees damages power lines, causing problems in power supply often, he added.  For this, he said that unsafe and open wires will be covered so that no accident happens. Along with this, there is a possibility of laying about 74 thousand meter wire in Hazaribagh and about 3 thousand meter wire in Barhi. He informed that all these works in Hazaribagh parliamentary constituency will be completed in the next 3 years at a cost of Rs 450 crore. Under this, an amount of Rs150 crore will be spent every year, he added.
