Ranchi: The Jharkhand High Court has extended its relief to Godda MP Nishikant Dubey, staying any coercive action against him for the next two weeks. The order was passed during Thursday’s hearing after the state government requested additional time to file its response, which the court accepted.
The case involves the purchase of property owned by the Paritran Medical Trust in Deoghar by the Baba Baidyanath Medical Trust, in which MP Dubey is implicated. The petitioner, Shivdutt Sharma, filed an FIR against Dubey, alleging forgery in the transaction.
Seeking to quash the FIR, Dubey approached the High Court. The matter was heard by Justice Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi. Advocates Prashant Pallav, Parth Jalan, and Shivani Jaluka represented Dubey during the proceedings.
Further hearings in the case are expected after the state government submits its response within the two-week timeframe.
