Ramgarh, July 31: Shri Agrasen School, Bhurkunda celebrated the birth anniversary of Munshi Premchand on Monday. On this occasion, essay, poem, poster, speech and drama competitions based on Premchand’s works and his biography were organized. In the programme, students and teachers discussed the relevance of Munshi Premchand’s various stories, novels, poems in modern times.
Angel Verma, Sakshi Goswami, Anushka Kumari, Aanchal Kumari, Aryan Kumar Mahto, Mahi Kumari, Farheen Afsara, Priya Kumari, Meet Kaur, Ankit Kumar, Tejashwi Kumar, Shravani Kaushal presented the message to society from Premchand’s stories.
The director of the school, Praveen Rajgadia, said that Hindi is not just a subject but a way of life. Munshi Premchand is remembered for his inspirational quotes and unique writing style. Premchand is as relevant today as he was during the pre-independence era.
Principal Vivek Pradhan said that we can give direction to society by remembering Premchand and learning a lot from his thoughts. Truth and life experience are reflected in his novels and stories. The environment of his creation has mostly been rural. Premchand wrote 15 novels, more than 300 stories, 10 translations and seven children’s books from his pen. Highlighting the stories and novels of Premchand, he said that Premchand’s literature is relevant even today. The programme was coordinated by teacher Deepika Tiwari.
