Dhanbad, Dec 18: Naresh Kumar Rao and Sanjut Kumar Sahay were unanimously elected as the president and secretary respectively at the 4th district convention of the Jharkhand State Public Health Employees Association on Saturday.
The convention also elected Umesh Chaudhary and Shankar Dasondhi as working president and treasurer respectively. Patron of state employees body Ashok Kumar Singh while inaugurating the convention charged that Narendra Modi government changed all the Acts that were in favour of employees and is promoting outsourcing appointment system across the country.
“Hemant Soren also back tracked from his promise before the election. He had assured to ensure minimum wage payment to all employees and regularize the jobs of contractual workers. But all promises have been wrapped up under the carpet,” said Ashok Kumar Singh.
JSPHEA state president Dilip Kumar Shah on the occasion pointed out the problems being faced by the health employees and urged the civil surgeon (CS) to address it in the interest of health services.
Civil surgeon (CS) Dr Shyam Kishore Kant, Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College Hospital superintendent Dr AK Barnbal, nodal officer of sadar hospital Dr Rajkumar Singh, medical officer Dr Massom also addressed this convention of the health employees.
The convention also saw the election of nine vice-presidents– Vinay Dubey, Gautam kumar Singh, Satyendra Dwivedi, S Raju, Sangeet Gorai, Md Zahid, Archana Chhatraj, M Ranja, seven joint secretaries—AK Sinha, Shekhar Suman, Anup Kumar, Hiralal Rajak, M Alam, L Rajak, Babloo Kumar and three organizing secretaries- Ashok Nonia, Sanjay Dhar, Vindeswar Singh.
Secretary Sanju Sahay said that Ravish Chandra Sinha (assistant treasure), Rajiv Kumar Yadav (auditor), Umesh kumar Singh, Manoj Kumar Singh (district representatives) and Ravish Chandra Sinha (spokesperson) were also elected at the convention.
