New Delhi, June 15: For the third day in a row, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) asked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to rejoin the probe into an alleged money laundering case involving the National Herald newspaper.
On Tuesday, the former Congress chief was questioned by the ED for the second day in a row. On Monday, the ED interrogated Rahul Gandhi for about ten hours.
Notably, Rahul Gandhi and his mother, Congress president Sonia Gandhi, had been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate for questioning in connection with alleged money laundering tied to the National Herald newspaper. After a trial court took notice of a private complaint against Young Indian Pvt Ltd, the agency launched the money laundering case.The private complainant accused Young Indian Pvt Ltd of cheating, conspiracy and criminal breach of trust in the alleged acquisition of Associated Journals Limited, which owned the newspaper.
