RANCHI: National Lok Adalat will be organised on September 11 in a virtual and hybrid mode under the direction of Executive Chairman of Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority (JHALSA) Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh.
Before the National Lok Adalat pre-mediation meeting will take place from September 6 to 10 and for this preparation has been started. As a part of preparation 10,000 notices have been served to parties.
In the wake of National Adalat, Principal Judicial Commissioner Navneet Kumar in Ranchi held a meeting with judicial officers and asked them to fix the target of disposal of a maximum number of cases.
Apart from this, Kumar also held a meeting with bank officials, senior superintendent of police, public prosecutor, and office bearers of the Ranchi District Bar Association and appealed to them to get a maximum number of cases listed to ensure their disposal.
In National Lok Adalat, compoundable cases are taken up for disposal. The majority of cases taken up use to be of civil nature, including cases of labour disputes, marital disputes and family disputes besides matters related to excise department, check bouncing, traffic fine, land acquisition, measurements of weight, bank loan recovery besides others.
