New Delhi, Oct 12: A MiG-29K trainer aircraft belonging to the Indian Navy crashed off the coast of Goa while on a regular mission due to a mechanical issue on Wednesday.
A quick search and rescue operation resulted in the pilot’s safe ejection and recovery.
A board of inquiry (BoI) has been mandated to look into the fourth navy MiG-29K crash since 2019 and determine the cause of the incident.
A MiG 29K fighter aircraft crashed over sea on a routine sortie off Goa coast after it developed a technical malfunction while returning to base.
