Ranchi, Oct12: Ranchi police today recovered a male body with its head smashed from Bhuian Toli, a place under Kotwali police station area in the heart of Jharkhand capital.
The body was identified as Rajesh Shah, a resident of Samastipur in Bihar. Police sent the body for autopsy at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) and filed a murder case.
Ranchi Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishore Kaushal confirmed the recovery. When asked about the reason behind the murder, he expressed his inability to throw any light without proper probe.
“The matter is under investigation. Primary investigation suggested that he was a drug addict and often used to remain outside his home. We have called his elder brother to get some clue,” SSP Kishore said.
