New committee of Dhanbad NSUI gets eight new faces for three years

Dhanbad, Dec 5: Dhanbad district unit of the National Students Union of India (NSUI), the frontal students’ organization of Congress, has inducted eight new faces in its 17-member committee reorganized for three years.

District NSUI president Gopal Krishna Choudhary said eight new faces have been inducted into the executive committee in place of some of the office bearers who looked inactive in the outgoing committee. The organizational change was made at the meeting attended by state unit president Syed Amir Hashmi and Professional Cong district president Prof DK Singh.

The committee has been reorganized in one year instead of the scheduled three years after the endorsement of NSUI national secretary cum Jharkhand in-charge Prashant Tiwari.

New committee members: 

  • President– Gopal Krishan Choudhary,
  • Vice-president- Ravi Paswan
  • General secretary- Suraj Kumar, Satyam Kumar, Abhishek Kumar, Rohit Pathak, Danish Raja, Lalchandra Mandal, Sonu Paswan
  • Secretary- Akash Pramanik, Jhanish Jha, Ayush Singh, Babu Kumar, Shivam Rawani, Ashish Singh
  • District members- Chandan Kumar, and Praveen Kumar.

President Gopal Krishna Choudhary said that in the new committee, student leader like Sonu Paswan (general secretary) has been included who launched a massive agitation against the B.Ed fee hike decision of the university at his individual capacity to instil new energy in the organization.

“At present, NSUI has 3000 registered members in the district and we have a mission of enrolling 10,000 members in the organization in the next three years. Keeping this in mind, active members have been included in the new committee,” added Gopal Krishana Choudhary.
