Ranchi, Dec.4: The work on the construction of 2240 meter flyover from Yogoda Satsanga Ashram (Bahu Bazar) to Shantinagar (Kokar) got stuck as Jharkhand Urban Infrastructure Development Company (JUIDCO) Limited cancelled the old tender and refloated another tender.
The tender was cancelled as a single bid was found as technically responsive in the first call. A newspaper advertisement published in a Hindi daily informed this.
A JUIDCO employee confirmed the development saying after cancellation of the tender a fresh tender was published today itself and uploaded to the website.
“According to the new tendering process, the date for submission of pre-bid inquiry is till 1pm on December 10 while pre-bid meeting is scheduled on the same day at 3pm. The last date for submission of online bid is December 18 and the last time of submission of earnest money deposit and the tender fee is till 5pm on December 20 while the opening of technical bid will take place on the same day at 5.30 pm,” the employee said.
On September 28 last, the state cabinet terminated the old Kanta Toli flyover project started during Raghubar Das’ government and approved the proposal of construction of a new Yogoda Satsanga Ashram to Shanti Nagar via Bahu Bazar and Kanta Toli flyover.
The cabinet approved an amount of Rs 224.94 crore for the new flyover which is expected to be completed within 24 months. However, October and November passed without any progress in this direction and till December 20 no groundwork is expected to be started on this project.
