Dumka, Oct 18: Seemingly taking a cue from the move of Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of the RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, the granddaughters of the JMM patriarch Shibu Soren and daughters of late Durga Soren have come up with a new ‘non political’ outfit called ‘Durga Soren Sena’ which is being viewed in the same backdrop of being alienated from the hierarchical mainstream of respective political families.
The recent move of Soren’s granddaughters follows the controversial statement of their mother and the eldest daughter-in-law, Sita Soren, who is representing Jama (ST) assembly seat of Dumka district from where both her father-in-law Shibu Soren himself and her husband Durga Soren had made their electoral debut.
Sita Soren had recently tweeted against the deteriorating state of governance in Jharkhand, particularly in Dumka district, saying that the goons had taken hold of the local administration in terms of the indiscriminate mining and transportation of stones and other contraband practices going on unabated.
“It is as if a parallel government is being run by goons patronised by the local police,” Sita had tweeted following the death of an elderly person after being hit by a speedy stone-laden truck in Ramgarh that falls under her constituency a week ago.
Although this was not the first time when Sita Soren had embarrassed her in-laws, particularly her brother-in-laws, Hemant Soren and Basant Soren in particular and the JMM at large, her recent tweet was soon deleted from her Twitter account mysteriously.
“We had received a call from Basant Ji to delete the tweet in question immediately,” sources close to the Jama MLA quoted one of her social media handlers.
However, by the time it was deleted, screenshots of the said the Twitter statement was taken by many people which continued to go viral with the new outfit floated by her daughters Rajyashree and Jayshree, all sure to embarrass the JMM even more which is currently being held in the helm of affairs.
“The way Sita Soren is accusing her own party leaders time and again, including the Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his younger brother and Dumka MLA Basant Soren by levelling charges of corruption, she should immediately quit the party,” Dumka BJP MP Sunil Soren remarked, adding that the new outfit floated by her daughters was nothing but an attempt to secure a larger share of the pie of governance to which she had been throughout deprived.
