New Pragati Maidan to host G-20 Summit in 2023

New Delhi, Oct 13: Union Minister Piyush Goyal announced on Wednesday that the new Pragati Maidan will host the G-20 summit in 2023.

“PM GatiShakti-National Master Plan will give a push and direction to various development plans and will also encourage investments. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the G20 summit will be held here in 2023 for the first time,” said the Union Minister while speaking at the launch of the new exhibition complex (Exhibition Halls 2 to 5) at Pragati Maidan.

Notably, PM Modi launched today PM GatiAhakti-National Master Plan for multi-modal connectivity at Pragati Maidan. During this event he also inaugurated the new exhibition Complex (Exhibition Halls 2 to 5) at Pragati Maidan. From November 14 to 27, The India International Trade Fair (IITF), the flagship event of the India Trade Promotion Organization, will be held in these new exhibition halls.

“Spread over 72,000 sq. km, eight exhibition halls will be constructed. The new ICC Centre is currently under construction. Underground parking has a capacity of more than 8,000 vehicles,” Union minister Piyush Goyal said.
