Ramgarh, Nov.20: 231 Recruit trainees from the Punjab Regiment Centre (PRC) joined the ranks of the Indian Army and attained the status of a regular soldier at an impressive and solemn passing out and attestation parade.

Keeping with the age-old military tradition, these recruits administered the oath of allegiance and devotion of duty towards the regiment and nation. Passing out parade cum oath ceremony marks the culmination of rigorous training at the centre.

Colonel Nitin Kumar Tiwari from Corps of Signals reviewed the parade. In his address to the recruits, he motivated the young soldiers to dedicate themselves for the pride of the nation. He also complimented young soldiers for their impressive drill and training.

The Colonel also presented medals to the young soldiers who performed best in physicals and drill during the course of training. It was indeed a proud moment for the kith and kin of these recruits who had come from far flung areas to fulfill their dreams.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the ceremony was followed as per norms and advisories issued by the Govt. of India.
