Ranchi, Nov.15: An extremist, Chotu Lohra, sustained injuries in a brief encounter with police near Makhmandro in the outskirts of the city under Ratu police station area.
The encounter took place around 11.30am. The injured was admitted to a hospital for proper treatment.
S.P.(rural) Naushad Alam confirmed the encounter saying Lohar is from Lohardaga but residing in the city. “Three and four extremists were also with him. They escaped after an encounter, which lasted for hardly 5 minutes,” Alam said.
An FIR is yet to be registered in this connection.
