Dhanbad, Aug 2: Nidhi Singh became the Saawan Queen 2023 of Tata Steel Jharia Division where Preeti Nirwan was declared Empress in the Saawan Utsav 2023 celebrated at Tata Steel Digwadih Club today.
Rakhi Sunil was chosen as the runner-up Saawan Queen and Kalpana Tiwary claimed the runner-up Empress in the function.
The organizers said ladies of Tata Steel, Jharia Division participated in large numbers in Saawan Utsav held at Digwadih Officers’ Club.
The event was based on the Indo-Western theme this year. A large gathering of ladies from the Jharia family participated wholeheartedly to celebrate the Saawan Utsav.
Ruchi Narendran was the chief guest of the Mela. D B Sailaja, Parul Mangal, Vineeta Rai and Sunita Rajoria were the guest of honour at the function.
The programme was marked by dance, music and fashion show display by the participants. Besides these, other competitions namely – Mehandi, vegetable and fruit carving, condiments’ jewellery making, Bollywood theme night and Ramp Walk were also held.
Spouses of the officers who will superannuate this year were also appreciated and recognized for their long association with the Tata Steel family over the years.
Besides ladies of the Jharia Division, ladies from West Bokaro and the Raw Material Division family also participated in the auspicious Mela.
