Ranchi, Feb 9: Ranchi Railway Division of South Eastern Railway has fixed the crossing (MH-27, Kataribagan level crossing gate) between Ranchi and Namkum, which used to obstruct the movement of trains and take a lot of time.
Due to this, the passengers also got delayed in reaching the destination. Ranchi Railway Division gave priority to this work in view of public convenience and got it repaired as soon as possible. Earlier, trains going between Ranchi and Namkum-Muri had to stop here for a long time and there were delays.
Earlier, its width was only 07 meters. During the movement of trains, huge crowds used to gather on both sides of the railway gate and people had to wait for a long time.
To get rid of this problem, this gate has been developed and widened. Now it has been divided into four lanes inside the railway boundary.
At the same time, the width of the road outside the railway boundary has been increased to 8.5 meters towards Kataribagan and 07.2 meters towards Chutia. The track space on both the up and down sides has also been covered with rubber surfaces instead of hexagonal blocks, to facilitate movement of all types of vehicles there.
With the completion of this work, there has been a lot of convenience in the movement of trains and the common man has got relief. It was told that about Rs. 50 lakh have been spent on this work.
