Ranchi, Dec 12: The Jharkhand High Court on Monday gave no relief to Baghmara MLA Dhulu Mahto who was sentenced one and a half year of imprisonment by a lower court for forcibly taking away a criminal from police custody. The high court rejected his petition seeking exemption from surrender before the lower court.
With the development, the MLA will have to surrender before the court if he wants to bail out and remain outside the jail during the pendency of his appeal against the lower court order.
