Ranchi, June 3: The workers employed by the Sports Authority of Jharkhand (SAJHA) in 2019 have been working without any increment in their salaries for the last three years. These include workers such as lifeguards and others.

According to one of the workers from SAJHA, they are paid a monthly salary of Rs. 11,800 and it has not been increased in the last three years since they have joined.

“I was appointed as one of the lifeguards but in 2020, I was moved to the football stadium as the swimming pools were shut down due to the pandemic. Now, when everything is back to normal we are still working in the stadium and doing minor works,” said the worker.

He also informed that many times they are told to drive the vehicles of certain concerned officials when the driver is absent.

In order to get more information, lagatar24.com tried to contact the Sports Director of Jharkhand but there was no response from his end.

In total, there are around 12 employees of SAJHA who were appointed in 2019 and their salaries are yet to increase.

The swimming pools have become functional after the pandemic in the Hotwar stadium and the workers who were assigned to work there are expecting that they will be moved there so that they can continue their normal routine.
