NTPC aid of Rs 2.47 lakh for rifle shooter Shristi

Hazaribag, May 16: NTPC today released a fund of Rs 2.47 lakhs for Chauparan’s air rifle shooter Srishti Kumari. Hazaribag DC Nancy Sahay handed over the cheque to Shristi in her office at the district collectorate. Sahay gave best wishes to Shristi for her upcoming match.

21-year-old Srishti Kumari of Chauparan block represented Jharkhand in the National Games held in Bhopal and Kerala and scored 605.5 and 619.5 respectively. Srishti Kumari’s next match will be played in Kerala on June 4.

NTPC provided financial assistance of Rs 2.47 lakhs to bring laurels to Hazaribagh by performing excellently on behalf of Jharkhand.

Srishti Kumari, an undergraduate student of St. Columbus College, Hazaribagh, has been taking training in air rifle shooting for the last 2 years. Her father Vijay Kumar Gupta works in a hotel in Gurugram and her mother is a homemaker. Shooter Srishti Kumari’s dream is to bring laurels to her home, family, district, state and country by winning the Olympic and other international tournament competitions in the shooting.

During this, Faiz Tayyab, General Manager cum Project Head of NTPC was also present.
