Ranchi, June 20: Nucleus Mall director Vishnu Agrawal who landed in trouble after getting involved in an illegal land deal in Jharkhand capital today reached the regional office of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) at Hinoo to face the central probe agency’s questions.
Earlier on May 8 Agrawal had gone to the same office but took leave citing medical reasons.
The probe agency wants to know his relationship with former Ranchi deputy commissioner Chhavi Ranjan and Prem Prakash, and the way the land was fraudulently dealt.
The ED’s action against Agrawal has been going on for a long time. On November 4, 2022, the probe agency had also raided his locations. It was found in the investigation that Bharat Prasad made the owner’s paper by tampering with the original document of the land located on Cheshire Home Road.
After this, this land was transferred to Punit Bhargava, a close aide of power broker Prem Prakash. Vishnu Agarwal bought this land from Punit for Rs 1.80 crore. Out of Rs 1.80 crore received from Vishnu Aggarwal, Rs 1.50 crore was transferred to Prem Prakash’s account.
