Ranchi: Senior police officers and VVIPs from other states visiting Jharkhand will no longer need to personally request arrangements through contacts in the state police or political circles. Acting on the directions of DGP Anurag Gupta, the Jharkhand Police Headquarters has established a Protocol Section, which will handle all necessary arrangements for visiting dignitaries.

Protocol Section Established at Police Headquarters

To ensure smooth coordination, two police officers have been appointed to manage the protocol services at the Jharkhand Police Headquarters. A dedicated contact number (9334416693) has also been issued, allowing officers and VVIPs to directly communicate their requirements.

No More Lobbying for Arrangements

Previously, visiting officials had to seek assistance from their political or police contacts in Jharkhand to arrange security, accommodation, or other protocol services. With the new Protocol Section, visitors can simply call the designated number and their requests will be coordinated with the relevant district police officials.

This move is expected to streamline VVIP movement in Jharkhand and reduce administrative hurdles for dignitaries from other states.
