Saraikela, Sept.21: A horrific road accident near the Kuchai-Khamardih culvert on the Kharsawan-Chaibasa route killed one person and injured two others on Tuesday morning. According to the information, Darshana Chaki (25), Bobby Purti (22) and Soma Chaki (17) of Jalumbeda village were returning home on a bike after attending a football match in Udalkham village of Amda when the incident happened.
A large truck approaching from the front near the Kuchai-Khamardih culvert overtook the three bike riders. Darshana Chaki died on the spot in this accident, while Babi Purti broke her hand. Soma Chaki suffered injuries too. All three were sent to Kharsawan CHC by ambulance with the assistance of locals. The injured are receiving medical attention. The deceased’s body was sent to Seraikela for an autopsy.
