New Delhi, Jan 25:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with over five lakh party cadres from across the country via NaMo app on Tuesday. The Prime Minister also spoke with BJP workers ahead of the party’s pre-election campaign in Gujarat.

”India is one of the countries where the Election Commission (EC) can issue notices to people, transfer officials. Our EC and election process set a benchmark for various countries,” said PM Modi while interacting with Page Samiti members from Gujarat, via Namo app.

PM Modi said that we should keep discussing ‘One Nation, One Voter List’ and ‘One Nation, One Election’ to conduct elections in a fair and transparent way which will improve the polling process.

PM Modi also praised the EC’s new voter registration process, which allows citizens to update their information four times each year.

Notably, Elections will be held in Gujarat in the latter half of the year, in addition to the five states that will go to the polls starting next month.

On the NaMo app, there are around 5.25 lakh BJP members from Gujarat. The Gujarat page committees have 60 lakh registered members, according to party sources.

This was the first time over five lakh BJP members had a virtual conversation with Prime Minister Modi using cutting-edge technology. The Prime Minister gave instructions to the workers on how to prepare for the next Assembly elections.
