New Delhi, March 13: The 95th Academy Awards, held on Sunday night at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, belonged to ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’, the proudly weird sci-fi movie from Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, which scored multiple awards including Best Picture and Directing.

Moreover, India also established itself at the 95th Academy Awards as SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ chartbuster Naatu Naatu won the Best Original Song and ‘The Elephant Whisperer’ emerged as the winner in the Best Documentary Shorts category. The third nominee from India, Shaunak Sen’s All That Breathes, lost to Navalny in the Best Documentary Feature Film segment.
Both RRR song ‘Naatu Naatu’ and the documentary ‘All That Breathes’ had earlier been pitched as favourites to win the coveted golden statuette. SS Rajamouli’s directorial RRR had especially won over the Western audience after gaining steam online since its Netflix appearance globally. Meanwhile, All That Breathes had won all the top prizes at various international film festivals, including Cannes Film Festival and Sundance Film Festival.
