Over 4000 JBVNL employees to get time bound promotion soon

Dhanbad, Jan 24: Over 4000 employees of Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (JBVNL) will get their  overdue time bound promotion soon.

A senior official of JBVNL  has also assured the employees union to fix pension fixation of employees within fortnight who retired before 2016 and cash payment of their due leave would be also paid duly.

Ramkrishana Singh, general secretary of Jharkhand Rajya Bijli Kamgar Union (JRBKU), one of the frontal organizations of power employees, said that general manager (GM) of  JBVNL Ajit Kumar also assured to pay 80% grant of Group Saving Scheme (GSS)  to employee on his retirement day.

Over 400 JBVNL employees of state including over 100 in Dhanbad Area Board  have been gasping for their pension fixation and other post-retirement benefits.

“Time bound promotion of over 4000 employees working in all six Area Boards including Dhanbad, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Giridih, Hazaribagh and Dumka has been pending since long. Now when the High Court has cleared the path, GM Ajit Kumar assured to give once  he gets order of headquarters in this regard,” said Ram Krishna Singh.

Union is on boils over attack on power employee

Jharkhand Rajya Bijli Kamgar Union has  taken serious note over the assault on a JBVNL staff at  Daltonganj and has threatened to boycott raids and power line disconnection drives against consumers without a senior officer of the department.
“Defaulter consumers attacked a raid team in Daltonganj and broke the hand of a staff member when they were disconnecting the supply line on Saturday. So JRBKU has written a letter to all six Area Boards general managers of JBVNL to not send a staff team without an officer. Now, in near future if  any staff of the raid party is assaulted, the concerned general manager would be held responsible,” said Ramkrishana Singh, general secretary of JRBKU.
