Ahmedabad, April 25: A Pakistani boat with nine crew members was captured in the Arabian Sea near the Gujarat coast by the Indian Coast Guard and the Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad on Monday, and heroin worth 280 crore was seized from the vessel, according to a defence spokesperson.
The Pakistani boat ‘Al Haj’ was stopped and captured by Coast Guard ships after it crossed into Indian seas, according to a statement from the spokesperson.
The boat and its crew members were taken to Jakhau port in Gujarat’s Kutch area for additional examination, according to the statement. Officials discovered heroin worth 280 crore on the boat, according to the release.
