Palamu: Counterfeit currency syndicate busted, four arrested

Palamu, Sept 3: The Palamu police have conducted a significant crackdown on a counterfeit currency operation. Four individuals from the gang have been arrested by the police at a tea shop located beneath the Over Bridge in Medininagar.

They were found in possession of 58 counterfeit notes of 500 rupees each, amounting to 29,000 rupees in total. During interrogation, the apprehended suspects also provided several revelations before the police. All of them will be remanded in judicial custody.

Palamu Assistant Superintendent of Police Rishabh Garg said that the police had received a piece of secret information that the business of fake notes was being carried out indiscriminately in the city. Acting immediately on the information, the police conducted a raid and arrested four people of the gang.
