Palamu: Forces recover 17 cylinder IEDs from Burha Pahar

Daltonganj, Nov 6: CRPF and Jharkhand Jaguar made a big haul of IEDs and other articles from the dump of the Maoists who have been driven out from the Burha Pahar in October. According to DIG STF Anoop Birtharay security forces recovered 17 cylinder IEDs, 73 empty cylinders and lots of other articles on the Burha Pahar falling under the Latehar district.

 

They recovered 4 IEDs at the axis of Nawa Toli and Jonk Pani, officials said on Sunday.

Sources said the Maoists’red flags which they wear when they die in their hide outs were recovered also besides a good number of medicines, hand drill machine, fire extinguisher etc.

Earlier on 19 October, Security personnel engaged in anti-Naxal operations in the forests of Palamu recovered as many as 51 IEDs and other items of daily use from an area adjacent to Burha Pahar.
