Dhanbad, Jan 18 : Dhanbad based Panchet Hydel of Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) unit has set an all-time record generation of power despite having all adverse conditions.
As per official records of DVC Kolkata headquarters, Panchet Unit of DVC has recorded the highest generation of 442.27 megawatt units till January 2022 that has surpassed all previous generation records.
The previous best generation was recorded by the Panchet unit 22 years ago in 1999-20 financial years of 442.26 MW.
M Raghu Ram , Member Secretary of DVC ( headquarters Kolkata) has in this regard highly appreciated the achievement of the Panchet Hydel unit especially its project head PP Sah.
“I am happy to note that the Panchet Hydel unit has achieved the highest hydel generation of all time. The contribution of your station (hydel project) in this performance is truly exemplary,” said DVC Member Secretary to PP Sah in his letter.
Member Secretary M Raghu Ram has said this milestone is also an indication that Panchet Hydel has the potential to achieve great things with perseverance, teamwork and target orientation. “I am sure that in the coming days the Panchet Hydel team will achieve more such records,” he said.
The officials of Panchet Hydel project are very happy with the appreciation of headquarters and said it is the result of team work and faith imposed by Kolkata headquarters on this project.
