New Delhi, Jan 4: A snag discovered midair caused an Air India flight headed for Paris to return to New Delhi.
The 210-passenger flight made a successful landing at the airport, according to the national airline.
VT-AND, an Air India B787-800, was operating flight AI143 from Delhi to Paris when it experienced an air turnback due to a ‘Slats Drive’ problem message, according to a senior directorate general of civil aviation officer.

After an emergency landing by Air India’s Delhi to Paris flight on Wednesday afternoon at Indira Gandhi International Airport, the DGCA commissioned an investigation.
He also said that a flap issue caused the emergency landing at 2:25 PM.
The flight took off at 1:28 and landed safely at 2:03 after a full emergency was declared. When an emergency was deemed necessary, there were 210 persons on board. All the passengers are safe.
