New Delhi, April 9: Union Minister of Trade and Industry Piyush Goyal will serve as the head of the Indian delegation at the India-France Business Conference, which will celebrate 25 years of friendship between India and France on Tuesday in Paris
The India-France Business Conference will be co-chaired by Goyal and Olivier Becht, France’s Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade, Attractiveness, and French Nationals Abroad.
An official statement on Sunday stated that the summit’s themes would include developing a green future, new technologies, defence cooperation, and collaboration in the Indo-Pacific area.
The Embassy of India in Paris is collaborating with Medef, CII, Business France, and IFFCI to organise the CEO roundtable and business summit. More than 400 people have signed up for the business summit and they are incredibly enthusiastic.
Minister Goyal will attend a CEOs roundtable and interact with business leaders from different sectors in France. A delegation of prominent Indian CEOs will travel with Goyal on an official tour to France and Italy from Tuesday to Thursday.
“Goyal along with French Minister Olivier Becht will participate in a gala dinner event hosted by the Ambassador of India to France and Monaco Jawed Ashraf that will showcase India’s cultural heritage and soft power and expected to witness the participation of 650+ dignitaries from the French government, the Indian Business Diaspora in France and members of French business community. The Minister will also be interacting with members of the Indian community in Paris,” according to the Ministry of Trade and Industry’s press release.
Afterwards, the minister will fly to Rome, Italy, where he will meet Antonio Tajani, Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and then attend a networking dinner with officials from both the public and private sectors.
He also has bilateral talks planned with the top CEOs in Italy. These meetings will be followed by a CEOs Interactive Business Session, in which 35 CEOs are anticipated to take part. Following that, he will be meeting with Adolfo Urso, the Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, who would interact with Indian CEO’s as well.
It is anticipated that this planned visit will provide bilateral ties with India’s major business partners in Europe more momentum.
