Patratu: Man dies after LP truck hits scooty at Palu

Ramgarh, Aug 16: An LP truck ran over a scooty rider in Tetaria Tand located in Palu Panchayat of Patratu police station area of Ramgarh district at 11.30 am on Tuesday. The rider died on the spot.

According to information, the LP truck engaged in coal transport was on its way to Piparwar when it rammed the scooty of Ravindra Chauhan, a resident of Khalari Bazar, near Jyoti Vikas Vidyalaya.

After the incident, the truck driver started running away with the vehicle. The local people caught the truck at Hendegir but the truck driver managed to escape.

After the incident, angry people blocked the road for several hours. However, after getting assurance of police action, the people lifted the jam later.
