Patrolling jeep-Highwa collide in Deoghar, four policemen suffer injuries

Dumka, Jan 21: Four policemen of a patrolling party suffered serious injuries when their official Jeep was hit by a Highwa truck near Hathgarh under Kunda police station of Deoghar district today.

The police party was on its way to the Chittolodhiya based SBI branch on regular patrolling when a rogue Highwa truck collided head-on with it.

All the four injured cops were later rushed to the Sadar Hospital where the condition of one is reported to be critical.

The driver of the empty Highwa truck has been taken into custody who was in inebriated condition.

Eyewitnesses account said that the collision was so intense that the front ends of both the vehicles got stuck with each other.
