New Delhi, Sept 28: The Kerala unit of the Popular Front of India (PFI) announced on Wednesday that the group has been dissolved after acknowledging the ministry of home affairs’ ban.
“All PFI members and public are informed that the Popular Front of India (PFI) has been dissolved,” said Kerala State General Secretary of PFI Abdul Sattar.
“MHA has issued a notification banning PFI. As law-abiding citizens of our great country,the organization accepts the decision,” he added.

Notably, the Popular Front of India (PFI), a radical organisation, was banned for five years by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Wednesday for its claimed ties to terror funding following many raids around the nation and arrests by the central authorities.
Rehab India Foundation (RIF), Campus Front of India (CFI), All India Imams Council (AIIC), National Confederation of Human Rights Organization (NCHRO), National Women’s Front, Junior Front, Empower India Foundation, and Rehab Foundation, Kerala, PFI’s affiliate organisations, were also prohibited from operating.
