New Delhi, March 7: Prime Minister Modi on Monday spoke on phone to President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine. According to the government sources, the phone call lasted for about 35 minutes.
The two leaders discussed the evolving situation in Ukraine. PM appreciated the continuing direct dialogue between Russia and Ukraine.
The Prime Minister also thanked President Zelensky for the help extended by the Government of Ukraine in the evacuation of Indian nationals from Ukraine. PM sought continued support from the Government of Ukraine in ongoing efforts for evacuation of Indian nationals from Sumy.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also talk to Russian President Vladimir Putin today.
