Banaskantha, April 19: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated and toured the new dairy complex and potato processing facility at Diyodar, Gujarat’s Banaskantha district, which cost more than Rs 600 crores and was built at a cost of more than Rs 600 crores.
The new dairy complex is a greenfield project that will process approximately 30 lakh gallons of milk per day, make approximately 80 tonnes of butter, one lakh litres of ice cream, 20 tonnes of condensed milk (Khoya), and 6 tonnes of chocolate.
The potato processing facility will create a variety of processed potato goods, including French fries, potato chips, aloo tikki, patties, and more, with the majority of them being shipped to other nations.

Local farmers will benefit from these plants, which will enhance the region’s agricultural economy.
The Prime Minister, who arrived in Ahmedabad on Monday for a three-day visit to Gujarat, lay the groundwork for a number of projects at Banas Dairy Sankul in Diyodar, Gujarat’s Banaskantha district. He will lay the foundation stone for the WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine in Jamnagar later in the day.
